Our friendly and informal Book Chat is now held at the shop on the *third Wednesday of every month between 2.30 – 4.00pm. We enjoy lively discussions on a pre-selected topic whilst enjoying a cup of tea and biscuits. Occasionally an author turns up to meet the group, and there is always an opportunity to browse the shelves or order any books that the particular month’s meeting has inspired.

Recent topics include: “Gardening Books”, “Diaries both factual and fictitious”, “Novels evoking place” “Books that changed my life”. We also enjoyed a lovely talk by author Kate Hamer at a recent Book Chat.

If you are interested in coming along, please come in and book a place: we have limited space and the group is getting very popular.

Our July chat was lovely Elizabeth was able to attend again after a short illness. We discussed the countryside genre especially The Wainwright Prize Shortlist.
