Thank you to everyone who continues to support us through this lockdown, and welcome to our new customers: we are making daily trips to our local Post Office to get all of your orders posted out, as well as delivering books in the Church Stretton area.
We are constantly looking for different ways to let you know about us and the books we have in stock, especially on our Twitter and Instagram pages where you will find us at @BurwayBooks – you can see the posts even if you don’t have an account: in fact our latest Twitter posts appear on the Home page of this website. Starting today we will be challenging ourselves to do an A-Z on Twitter of one adult and one children’s book that we have IN STOCK. Remember it’s first come, first served …. but we can always order a copy for you if someone beats you to it.
Our two books for today, beginning with the letter ‘A’ …… are both classics: if you haven’t yet read them now is the perfect opportunity to discover how good they are. ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’ by Erich Maria Remarque is widely acknowledged as one of the most moving novels about the First World War, whilst ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking Glass’ by Lewis Carroll is a magical story that has been loved by children and adults for over 100 years.
