Robin Jukes-Hughes Book Launch

“Portrait of the Shropshire Hills”

We were delighted to welcome local photographer Robin Jukes-Hughes to Burway Books on the evening of Friday 12th June to launch his new book, “Portrait of the Shropshire Hills”. Guests chatted and enjoyed a glass of sangria whilst waiting for Robin to sign copies of the book.

This beautiful book contains over 150 colour photographs of the Shropshire Hills - the landscapes, fauna and flora. It starts with a tour of the Longmynd, crosses the Stretton Valley to the other Stretton Hills, travels north to the Wrekin, then circles around to the Stiperstones, Clun Hills, Clee Hills and Wenlock Edge.

Having already enjoyed a successful launch, Robin returned to the shop to sign more copies of the book as part of our Independent Bookseller’s Week celebrations.

We wish him every success with this lovely book and look forward to it remaining on our best sellers list for years to come.
