Dr Peter Toghill had an entusiastic steady stream of ‘students of geology’ this morning. Geological samples were identified, one was an outer rim of an ammonite, which he said was the best find brought in. Thank you everyone who came in with your questions and finds. One question was ‘How do rocks fold so tightly?’ Dr Toghill said – “it’s like a concertina, just like my new booklet ‘The Geology of the Church Stretton Area’ priced at a very economical £2.00”.
A great geological morning with Peter Toghill
