Yet another excuse for cake: the annual nationwide campaign to celebrate books and bookshops!
This year’s event saw the launch of a Tracey Emin designed ‘Books Are My Bag’ canvas bag. There was ONE PRINT RUN ONLY of the Tracey Emin bags – customers got one FREE if they spent over £40 on books. We still have a few left: first come, first served.
Authors Alix Nathan, Mike Uden and Sylvia Ann Baxter were here in the morning to sign copies of their books – it was lovely to see them.
Bestselling author Phil Rickman joined us in the afternoon to sign copies of his new novel, Night After Night, a departure from his Merrily Watkins and John Dee series. In this new book a TV reality show is being filmed in a haunted house with a dark reputation: we can’t wait to read it.
